puzzle-rpg-prototype, a yudum 3 game
WEB VERSION ONLY WORKS ON CHROME-BASED BROWSERS (known godot 4 issue :( )
pdp-rpg prototype
how to play:
controls:
wasd or uplr keys(move cursor)
z swap pieces/select actions
r to restart
The game alternates between rounds of panel de pon and a turn based rpg.
You get 15 seconds to clear as many pieces as you can, with the pieces you clear giving you points to use in your next turn.
red blocks: gives you red points (as seen on screen), used for attacks
green blocks: gives you green points (as seen on screen), used for healing and stat modifying skills
blue blocks: gives you blue points (as seen on screen), used to defend against enemy damage, you only take damage once all your blue points are used up (like slay the spire)
yellow blocks: gives you extra time for clearing them. If you have more than 5 seconds left on the clock, you can press 2 to exchange 5 seconds for a new row of pieces.
Purple blocks: these hold enemy actions in them. at the start of every puzzle phase, a row and purple piece will be spawned in for every enemy in play. purple pieces have a timer on them and at the end of every puzzle phase they decrement. Once it hits 0, the enemy uses the action in the piece, if you clear a row of purple pieces, you can negate the enemy's turn!
all party members share the same pool of red green and blue points, you can use the pass ability to end one party members turn and go onto the others. once every pm has passed their turn, the puzzle phase begins again.
debug controls:
1: pause timer
F3: simulate timer running out
thank you for trying it out, feedback is appreciated.
